Editor Menu in the Minitab Menu Bar: Minitab Training

Editor Menu in the Minitab Menu Bar helps to select, edit, brush, copy, duplicate and update the Graphs created. Editor menu commands are dynamic and change depending on which window is active. The commands appearing in the editor menu depend on which window is active i.e. Session Window or Data Window or Graph Window. The Editor Menu behaves differently for different windows. There are different commands of Editor Menu. Let’s take a look at the same in this post.

  • Find: This command allows to search for data in the Data window
  • Replace: This command allows to search for and update data in the Data window
  • Go To: This command moves the cursor to the cell specified
  • Next Column: This command moves the cursor to the top of the next column
  • Next Row: This command moves the cursor to the beginning of the next row
  • Go To Active Cell: This command adjusts the Data window display so that the part of the worksheet that contains the active cell can be seen
  • Next Brushed Row: This command moves the active cell to the next row that contains a brushed data point
  • Previous Brushed Row: This command Moves the active cell to the previous row that contains a brushed data point
  • Format Column: This command allows to specify how a column is displayed in the Data window
  • Column: This command allows to add column descriptions, hide/unhide columns, set column widths, and apply a value order for text data
  • Formulas: This command allows to assign a formula to a column or constant and update it when data or variables change
  • Worksheet: This command allows to add worksheet descriptions, change data entry arrow direction, and select data and label fonts
  • Insert Cells: This command inserts one or more cells above the active cell
  • Insert Rows: This command inserts one or more rows above the active cell
  • Insert Columns: This command inserts one or more columns to the left of the active cell
  • Move Columns: This command moves the active column or selected columns
  • Define Custom Lists: This command defines custom lists of text data to use with the Auto fill command
  • Clipboard Settings: This command allows to specify a value other than an asterisk (*) to represent missing values in the Clipboard
